Let's Get Started!
If you're looking for on location hair and makeup for your 2021 wedding in the Northern VA, Washington, DC, or Maryland wedding, you've come to the right place! Please select the appropriate timeframe for your wedding date in order to view the current information for booking.
General Booking Timelines
Booking your wedding hair and makeup is unlike booking any old salon service. On location stylists book just as far in advance as other wedding vendors, meaning 6-12 months in advance for most dates. Due to COVID-19 and the large number of 2020 weddings that were postponed, the 2021 calendar is extremely competitive for wedding dates. October 2021 is already completely booked, and other dates are going fast. Please keep this in mind when booking your date.
Below is a general guideline on when you should expect to book your wedding date with a retainer and when you should have your trial (and finalize your contract). Some months of the year are more popular and book much further in advance. May, June, September, and October are the BUSIEST months of the year in the Virginia/DC area and most dates are booked around the 1 year mark. You can maybe grab a stylist around the "Contract By" timeframe if they have a cancellation.
If your wedding date is January or February:
Retainer- by August or September
Contract- No later than September or October
If your wedding is in March or April:
Retainer- by September
Contract- No later than November
If your wedding is in May or June:
Retainer- usually the May or June of the year before to snag the date
Contract- No later than December, especially if you need any assisting artists.
If your wedding is in July or August:
Retainer- by December or January
Contract- No later than February or March
If your wedding is in September or October:
Retainer- usually the September or October of the year before to snag the date
Contract- No later than March or April, especially if you need any assisting artists.
If your wedding is in November or December:
Retainer- by March or April
Contract- No later than July
Remember, these are just guidelines based on how the last twelve years of doing weddings in this area have been for me. There's always the potential for a last minute cancellation or an opening on my calendar even outside the guildeline suggestions, but for most cases these are the booking trends I see and will give you the best experience and least amount of stress.
